Mysterious Avila Mountain and Chachalacas. El Ávila misterioso y sus guacharacas.

Embracing our beloved city of Caracas, the Avila is a majestic mountain, filled with legends and worshipped as a green reserve, an escape into sanity, away from so much concrete and crazy rush hours. Most people will hike into her winding paths to find some peace of mind and recharge themselves with fresh energy. Here are some pictures of the loud and noisy chachalacas (Ortalis ruficauda), a bird indigenous to this mountain.
