Ecoroto

Con la idea de reciclar y crear arte a partir de materiales de desecho, la artista Gabriela Rodríguez ha creado estos “penetrables” al estilo Soto, hechos totalmente con juguetes y otros desperdicios plásticos recogidos en las playas. Esta artista también dicta cursos para niños, donde les enseña a trabajar con arcilla y a reciclar materiales para irles creando una conciencia de conservación desde temprana edad. With recycling in mind and creating art out of waste materials, the artist Gabriela Rodríguez came up with these “penetrables” a la Soto, made completely with toys and other plastic refuse collected from beaches. She also has courses to teach children work with clay and recycled materials, thus creating environmental awareness in their young minds. A few fashion design pics. Algunas fotos de diseño de moda

Recorriendo la interesante exposición con motivo de cumplirse treinta años del prestigioso Instituto de Diseño de Caracas (IDC), aproveché y tomé fotos de algunos de los modelos diseñados por los alumnos de este instituto, específicamente los alumnos de la sede de Valencia, que me gustaron por el toque medieval que tienen. I was walking through the expo that the renowned Instituto de Diseño de Caracas (IDC) held in order to commemorate their 30 years, when I saw these garments, designed by the fashion design students at their Valencia branch. The medieval look on them really caught my eye and I took a few pictures that you can see below. The models are from the Academia de Gisselle Reyes. Ayer en la tarde tuve la oportunidad de fotografiar a un grupo de jóvenes músicos de la Orquesta de Chacao mientras ensayaban. A pesar de mi intromisión con la cámara, los panas siguieron su ensayo como si yo no estuviera ahí y pude capturar varias tomas de estos talentos. Aquí se las dejo, agradeciéndoles la oportunidad de poder hacer estas fotos. ¡Disfruten!

Yesterday evening I had the opportunity to photograph a group of young musicians from the Chacao Orchestra while they were rehearsing. In spite of my snooping with the camera, these friendly guys just kept going with their rehearsal as though I weren’t there at all, allowing me to take several pics of them. Here they are, at last. EA, a great band - EA, una tremenda banda

From time to time, I've had the pleasure and privilege of photographing EA on stage. Well, this is a band with 15 years of experience that keeps their audience moving, dancing, singing and rocking non stop during their performances.
